Baby Dedications, Blessings, Baptisms, and Christenings are one of the joys of my ministry! I have had the honor of welcoming the children from not only the couples I have united in marriage, but countless other couples who want a customized celebration in their own homes, and other special venues.
Each ceremony is unique to the couple's values and beliefs, and include many fun and original ideas.
For example: My favorite movie growing up was Sleeping Beauty - especially the part when the fairy godmother's bestowed upon the child "virtues".
"Bestowing Virtues" has now become a popular choice with my couples who I guide in creating a ceremony where family members and friends write letter's to the child expressing what they wish for them as they grow into awesome adults!
One idea is to get The Book of Virtues by William J. Bennett as a wonderful keepsake for the child, and each letter is inserted into the ceremony for the child to have and treasure as a remembrance of this important time in their lives.
