Reverend Rebecca A. Nagy

Susan Kaney was ordained in July 1987, through Sanctuary of the Beloved in Conesus, New York. For twenty years her “church” was the Southeastern Spiritual Conference, a weeklong educational conference which she co-founded and chaired.  After 20 years, she stepped down as chair, but continues to work with this on-going conference as staff.  Additionally, since 1990, she has been a registered pastoral counselor for the State of North Carolina.

During her life she has had numerous spiritual experiences with Angels, and based on those experiences, in the year 2000, wrote and published the book “Angel Crossing”.  If interested, it is still available for purchase through sites such as Amazon.com.

Susan met Rebecca Nagy approximately 15 years ago, when Susan asked Rebecca to be a presenter at the Southeastern Spiritual Conference.  She had recently moved to the Charlotte area and Rebecca asked Susan if she would like to work with her ministry.  Initially, Susan officiated weddings on an occasional basis, but after retiring from a full time position in education in July of 2011, Susan joined Rebecca as a full partner.

HAVING A BI-LINGUAL WEDDING?

If you or your fiancé speak Spanish and you will have a mix of guests; some who speak only Spanish and some who only speak English, Reverend Kaney can assist you in creating a perfect ceremony for your most special day.  A bi-lingual ceremony can be crafted in different ways; from being performed entirely in Spanish, or a mix of both Spanish and English.  Whatever way you want it, Reverend Kaney is happy to help.

IN NEED OF A WEDDING DIRECTOR?

Often when an officiate is booked for a wedding, he or she will sometimes be surprised, when at the dress rehearsal, a bride turns to her officiate and says, “Okay, what are we supposed to do?

An officiate meets with a bride and helps her to prepare the words to a perfect ceremony, and then delivers that ceremony on the appointed day.  Many officiates book several weddings in one day and often cannot even attend a rehearsal before hand.

A wedding director organizes the wedding party at the rehearsal and on the day of the wedding.  The work involved in this organization of a wedding party is very different from what an officiate is required to do, and the director guarantees to attend both the rehearsal and the ceremony.

It is important for a bride to book both an officiate and a wedding director separately.  This does not mean it is not possible for an officiate to also direct a wedding, if he or she is free, but a bride should understand that these are separate responsibilities and require additional fees.

Reverend Kaney, upon joining in partnership with Reverend Nagy, is willing to offer herself as wedding director for those brides who have booked weddings with Reverend Nagy, and who are in need of a director for both the rehearsal and wedding day.  Reverend Kaney is also willing to direct weddings with brides who choose her as an officiate; for a separate, but discounted fee.

To book Reverend Kaney as director for weddings officiated by Reverend Nagy, her fee is $225.00. This includes a meeting prior to the wedding to discuss all wedding party details and guaranteed attendance at the rehearsal and at the wedding.

If you are interested in booking Reverend Kaney as a director for a wedding not associated with Weddings from the Heart, her fee is $275.00, which includes a meeting prior to the wedding to discuss the wedding party details and guaranteed attendance at both the rehearsal and wedding.

If you are interested in having Reverend Kaney both officiate and direct the wedding, you can do so for an additional fee of $125.00.*
